THE END OF THE CORTONWOOD COLLIERY

Quite rare photographs of the sinking of Cortonwood Colliery, kindly donated by Mrs. Audrey Hart ( aud@barber37.freeserve.co.uk ). The Cortonwood site is now being developed, and contains houses, an industrial estate, a supermarket, a restaurant, and many more buildings which are appearing by the month. These pictures were taken around 1986 (unsure of exact date).
